How to prepare for your Sitting Baby Photoshoot

Studio sessions for Sitting/Crawling Babies

Sitting Baby sessions take place once baby is sitting confidently & independently, typically around 7-10 months. They are relaxed, fun sessions where your little one’s personality can really shine through.

It’s one of my favourite ages to capture so I can’t wait to welcome you to my studio! I’ve put this guide together to give you all the information you’ll need for your photoshoot…

Studio Location

Address: 1A Bulldog House, Reading Road, Winnersh, RG41 5AB.

There is free parking available behind the building. The entrance to the carpark is between the motorbike garage and dentist (look for the blue MOT sign on the fence, follow that drive down) Allocated parking is in the Berkshire Counselling Service spaces. If these are full there are spare spaces just outside the fenced carpark (marked for Bulldog House) behind the motorbike garage.

The front door is marked Bulldog House. You’ll see signs for Berkshire Counselling Services, this is the entrance. I’ll try to be at the door to welcome you but if I’m not simply come up the stairs and you’ll see my door 1A. My phone number is 07900882212 if you have any trouble finding it.

What to bring

I have a few wooden toys for baby to play with (they photograph beautifully!) but if your baby has a favourite toy/comforter then do bring this with you. It’s also a good idea to bring spare nappies etc.

What to wear

If you have anything white/neutral then do please dress baby in that. A simple white vest is perfect! Please don’t worry if you don’t have anything in those colours as I have a studio wardrobe of baby clothes in a range of sizes available for you to use. Please let me know what size they are wearing so that I can have a few pieces out ready for you.

Relax

This is an important one. It may seem like a stressful task trying to photograph your baby but please don’t worry, I’ve got this. All you need to do is turn up and let me do my thing. Think of it more as a playdate than a typical photoshoot, just with beautiful photos at the end of it! My approach is very relaxed, allowing your baby to feel comfortable so please don’t worry about them ‘smiling for the camera’.

Timings

Please try to ensure that you arrive on time for your booked session as I may have another booked after you. Of course something may come up, please let me know asap if you’re running late or need to reschedule.
